Saturday, Sunday,...Standay?

Dear calendar writers,

Can we add one more day to the week? You know, the one that is a day totally dedicated to doing whatever the hell I want? I mean, everybody knows how much of a workaholic I am and how I like to be busy, but I think I can afford an extra day and still make do.

Proof? Well as you can see, it's been a few weeks since I've updated, but most of that was due to Christmas break. Since I've been back I've watched 10 minutes of Avatar before the IMAX projector burned out, been to Vegas and CES (which was awesome, go screaming monkeys!), and had my car die 40 miles away from home (dead battery, not so awesome). Don't get me wrong, every one of those had a fun twist, but my schedule has been a little stacked.

It's just been really hard lately getting back into a groove. I mean, gosh, it's like the start of a quarter at Poly! I just want to be able to have time to cook, write my book, plan my trips, and watch some TV after work. Too much? I know, I'm a little needy, but that's where the extra day would come in.

Hopefully, I can get all this schedule stuff figured out soon. I'm excited to be starting my weekly (and maybe bi-weekly) rides into work on my bike. I'm trying out a few new coffee shops for a change in atmosphere. It's just that you need TIME to do all those things, which I'm seriously lacking at this point.

With that said, let me just say the next few weeks will be a rush, albeit lots of fun. Hanging out with my buddy Blake this week, heading up to Tahoe the following weekend, and Boston two weeks after that. If an extra day is too much to ask, maybe I should hire a personal planner. Hmm...nah, that would never work, I don't think I could take too much "How can I help you Mr. St..Stan...Stanjazooski?" Yea, let's make Standay happen instead...

In the meantime, I'll try and nail down my schedule and keep working on planning my trips, that's the only way I can stay sane haha. Let me know when Standay is official, and I'll offload some of my mountainous to do list on to that day. Until then, I'll just have to find room for some of those items, like groceries, haircuts, getting my car fixed...you know, those minor everyday things you should have time for.

Thanks!

Matt
